Intro

Suzanne Ciani needed a promotional poster for an event she’s having at the MAC in Montreal to exhibit her famous album, Music For Denali. Denali is a mountain in Alaska and the album was made as a soundtrack for climbing the mountain. natural sounds replicated by the artist using a synthesizer. Each song is a different stage of the climb.

Project

I needed to create a poster that really captured the essence of the music and would be welcoming for all ages. adding color could be a fun way to do this. I probably also want some motion in the poster to replicate the feeling I get from the music.

Process

The poster was very successful in bringing a large audience to the event. Music for Denali brought the crowd of people who were into electronic music and older generations who were into Suzanne Ciani when she first became famous in the 70s, and our poster got young people involved and excited to experience something so cool and unique for the first time.
